This is Fred A. Rife, Sr.'s diary.  To set the stage, John Peter Rife, Fred's 
father, died Jun/1867.  This also explains why Fred does not mention his father.

Fred makes some puzzeling relative references.  He refers to an Aunt 
Hannah.  He later also refers to an Uncle Jo.  I have yet to figured who they 
are.  I  know the names of Elizabeth Jane Newkirk's brothers and sisters, 
so these people could have married her brothers and sisters or be related 
to John Peter Rife.  It is unknown for now.

Fred wrote his childhood diary into the notebook for the Crecent Dancing 
Club.  He transferred it there from whatever he had originally written it 
on.  His diary starts on page 32.  I have not typed in the whole notebook, 
only a portion.
